Our stage 1 fuel pump for the MK4 VW platform is a kit that features a single genuine Walbro 450 pump. With proper power being supplied to the pump this pump can support over 500hp on e85. The feature that sets this fuel pump option aside from other in-tank fuel pump options is that this setup utilizes a venturi jet pump to prevent fuel starvation under 1/4 tank. The principle of the venturi jet pump has been known for hundreds of years and used today in many oem fuel pump setups. Such as AWD cars with a saddle style gas tank, that use a venturi to siphon gas from one side of the tank to the other side with the fuel pump. However, we're using the venturi to siphon gasoline from the tank into a fabricated aluminum basket that the fuel pump mounts inside of. Thus ensuring that the fuel pump is always sitting in an adequate fuel level to operate.

What's Included:

The kit features a new aluminum fabricated basket, this will replace the basket on your stock fuel pump housing. This new basket will come equipped with the new fuel pump, fuel filter, billet fuel pump bracket, as well as a billet venturi jet pump and associated plumbing for the jet pump. Also included are 2 new corrugated fuel lines to connect the pump to feed on the top hat and the venturi to the return on the top hat. Finally a 2-wire bulkhead will be included that needs to be installed on the fuel pump housing top hat to supply the pump with power.

Works For These Cars:

Any FWD MK4 VW that has the 110mm or 120mm fuel pump. (Basically the diameter of the hole in the tank that the pump drops into) NOT FOR ANY AWD CARS (R32 or TT).

Recommended for:

This setup is suited for anyone with a 1.8t equiped with a K04 turbo or bigger, up to the 500whp range. And any vr6 that is turbo again up the 500whp range. This also includes using e85, for cars using gasoline or race gas the HP values are much higher.

For cars north of 600whp we soon will be offering a twin pump setup, along with a full billet replacement of the whole fuel pump housing. Expect by late summer/early fall time.
